Pen of a Ready Writer February

Valentines Day is a fun holiday, with an odd history.  It’s fun to talk about love freely, and to announce how much you love someone with gifts and cards.
God announced His Love for us with the birth of His Son.  Then he proved it in His death.  That kind of love cannot be copied or even understood.  We may say we would die for someone we love, but in reality it would have to be a majorly extreme circumstance.  Jesus stood by innocently receiving punishment for things he did not do, His love for us being the reason.
Can we love like that?  Can we work towards loving, even when we suffer for it?  Like loving that person who doesn’t love back, or the one who did “THAT” to us, whatever “THAT” may be.  Can we love those who are different, not snubbing our noses thinking we are better or right?
I am convinced that we all need to love more, not just in word and deed, but in Spirit and in Truth.
